KH 2.8 New Trailer, Release Date

While it’s clear we won’t be getting any more news on KHIII for some time, it does my heart good to see a release date for the precursor game, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. That’s right! The newest trailer released earlier this morning confirmed fans in Japan can expect the game on January 12, 2017.

While the date is later than we were hoping, I can’t keep back my excitement!!! After watching the latest footage, I’m fascinated by the clues hinting at how each of the three Keyblade wielders of Aqua’s generation are connected to Sora’s…and to EVERYTHING.

In the Back Cover story, the trailer hints at the number of people required to save the world and forming an alliance of three. Square Enix is laying down that trinity theme reeeeeaaaaal thick.

We even get a snapshot of these three:

All for one and one for all!

All for one and one for all!

The trailer also included snapshots of new Disney worlds, including the Hunchback of Notre Dame, which only appeared previously in Dream Drop Distance.  I for one am looking forward to facing off against Frollo in this installment! I hope you’ll stay posted here for more news on KH3 and 2.8!
